The Village of Arcanum’s 2025 Financial Report has been completed and is available for public inspection at the Office of the Fiscal Officer at the Administration Building.

2026 SPRING HYDRANT FLUSHING
VILLAGE OF ARCANUM FIRE HYDRANT FLUSH
The Village of Arcanum Utility Department will be flushing water hydrants
Tuesday, April 14, 2026 & Wednesday, April 15, 2026
between the hours of 7:00 AM & 4:00 PM.
(Flushing will begin on South End of Arcanum)
This may cause some discoloration to the water. Residents may want to check their water before washing.
If needed, due to weather,
the following Tuesday & Wednesday,
April 21 & 22, are also scheduled.
2026 RUMPKE SPRING CLEAN UP
Village of Arcanum Spring Clean-Up
April 16, 2026
The Village of Arcanum will offer residents an opportunity to dispose of large household items, which will be picked up by Rumpke, Inc. on Thursday, April 16, 2026
Residents should place these items at the curbside for pickup, along with their normal residential waste. There is a limit of (5) large items per residential customer. Furniture & mattresses must be covered in plastic. TV’s 32” or smaller will be taken, 1 computer.
The following items WILL NOT be accepted for removal:
tires, lead acid batteries, concrete, liquids and/or hazardous waste, oil tanks,
appliances containing CFCs (Freon)-
(items with Freon require a certified sticker stating removal of Freon and a special work order to Rumpke)
Loose materials (such as carpeting, fencing, fence posts, etc.) must be bundled & tied. Each bundle should not exceed 4’ in length and 2’ in diameter or 75 pounds. Propane tanks must be empty & valves removed for collection.
Rumpke encourages residents to set out items for collection before 6:00 am.

2026 LIMB PICK UP SCHEDULE
Residents of the Village of Arcanum are provided complimentary tree limb removal service twice a month.
Limb Pickup Dates
April 9 & 23
May 7 & 21
June 4 & 25
July 9 & 23
August 6 & 20
September 3 & 17
October 1 & 15
Pickup ends October 15, 2026 unless notified otherwise.
- Limb services are ONLY for trimming by homeowner or fallen limbs
- Limbs Will NOT be picked up for contracted work (contractor is responsible for removal)
- Special circumstances due to storm damage will be at the discretion of the Village Administrator
- NO special circumstances will be given to residents who trim after pickup date
- Prevented or interrupted service will occur the next day or as soon as possible
- If pile exceeds 4 feet in height, width or length, please call Superintendent at 937-459-6017 or Administrator at 937-692-8500 x 232 to confirm arrangements can be made
OPEN SEAT ON COUNCIL
Due to an open seat on Council, the Village of Arcanum is seeking individuals who would be interested in serving as a council member for a four (4) year term commencing on January 1, 2026 and expiring on December 31, 2029. A letter of interest should be postmarked by November 7, 2025, to the attention of the Mayor, Village of Arcanum, P.O. Box 398, Arcanum, OH 45304, or can be dropped off at the Village Administration Office.
